On Wednesday 9 June the Israeli Ambassador to Australia,听Mr听Jonathan Peled, visited the students听of听Carmel High School. After听a general introduction,听Mr听Peled听took questions from the students.听Queries ranged from what, in the Ambassador鈥檚 opinion, Israel鈥檚 greatest asset听is听(鈥淥ur minds鈥�,听was his answer) to听issues such as the听complex听Israeli听political system听which has听resulted听in four elections in two years, and what each Jewish person鈥檚 role is听when Israel goes through times of conflict, such as that experienced听recently.听We鈥檙e grateful to the Ambassador and his team for taking time out while in Perth to talk to our students听and to the UIA and听Mr听Adi Peleg for arranging this rich and informative experience for our students.听
