While our first official week of the school year ended up being spent in lockdown, learning, in various ways and forms, continued for both the Primary and High School. Our Preps built on their literacy and numeracy skills by counting, sorting and classifying objects, designing a calendar and ticking off the days and drawing pictures of things they love. Our Kindies had a go at self-portraits using an array of household items, which the teaching team then used with introductions when they all met up in person at school.

‘Zoom’ High School for our Year 12s and Year 11s doing WACE subjects started on the first day of lockdown, with the rest of the school following suit the next day. Our teachers, having been through the remote learning ropes before, adjusted seamlessly – and at extremely short notice - to the sudden change. We could not be prouder of our teaching body and student cohorts (not to mention fabulously supportive parents) for adapting to trying times with such professionalism and aplomb.
